The Rio Striped Bass leader is our favorite tapered leader for throwing big bass flies, whether it is largemough or stripers. They are designed to pitch big, wind resistant bass flies long distances with accuracy. We bring a boat load of them down to Mexico and they make a huge difference. 

The most versatile size is the 25 lb, but we use both the 20 lb and 30 lb regularly. All Rio Striped Bass leaders are 7'.
